FOAL HANDLING CLINIC

Clinician:  Michael Pat Linderman, Equine Behavior Specialist

 

Ms. Linderman specializes in calm, gentle, respectful foals, horses, mustangs, and mules through Savvy and Kindness.  Ms. Linderman has given settling demonstrations at adoption centers for the Bureau of Land Management using untouched wild horses and mustangs.

 

Demonstrations will be given on the following topics:

 

·        Handling the foal without negativity

·        Teach the foal to move forward

·        Teach the foal not to pull back

·        Halter the foal

·        Lead the foal on halter

·        Teach the foal to tie

·        Teach the foal to stand while feet are handled

·        Bathing of a foal

·        Fly spray the foal

·        Trailer load the foal

 

 

Cost:                $10 for HAT members

            $20 for non-members (includes a 1-year HAT membership)
