·         Scholarship report: Sandra Shiver reported a meeting was held to review the applications and two selections were made.  They will be notified by letter and a follow-up phone call.  The two scholarships of $500 will be awarded at the Youth Show in June, one from HAT and one from the Grayson County Horse Committee.

·         Equine Touch Raffle: Debby has sold $70 worth of tickets and posters have been passed out.

·         Membership Committee: No report

·         Youth Show Clinic: Gerry Snipes will run the clinic, which will consist of training in Trail and Horsemanship.  The clinic will begin at 9am, with the show following after lunch.  Sally Thomason will create the showbill and organize the necessary workings of the show by phone.

·         Loy Lake Arena: Debby reported that the HAT show in April was the second time that HAT has paid $250 for the use of the arena, only to find that the arena surface was not ready when we arrived and trash was left behind and scattered by the previous users.  Debby provided an itemized list of problems to Mark Arnold for review.

New Business

·         Texas Horse Council: Debby briefly outlined the organization and its purpose.  A representative from the council will be at the next meeting to discuss HAT's potential involvement.
