Old Business

Membership report By Jenni Dougan.  As of November 4th we had 7 paid members.  A discussion was had regarding a membership drive, possibly sending out post cards (approximate cost 17 cents each), possibly sending out a questionnaire as well on how to make the club meet more peoples needs.

New Business

So far we have volunteers to chair the following committees:

Sandy Holcomb volunteered to help with managing advertising for our newsletter.

Discussion was had on several ideas for membership and the newsletter, inlcuding

New officers for 2005 were nominated, voted, and carried.

Discussion was also held about the HAT web site.  Trudy has been running the site and doing a good job, but some member expressed concern that she has been paying all of the expenses for the site out of pocket and that no one else has access to it to make changes when she is not available.  Some members suggested the web site’s ownership and expenses be paid by the club and that at least two people have access so that changes can be made to it whenever necessary.  There was also agreement that we need to try to put more information on the site and update it more often.

We would like to welcome new people who attended the meeting: Mary and John Hite, Bonnie Smith, and Gloria Downing.  We hope they can make it to many more of our functions.

Meeting was adjourned at 9.00 pm.
