August 2007 Meeting Minutes

This meeting started out as a “HAT-nic” in which we enjoyed food and fun.

President Sandra Shiver called the meeting order at 7:20 p.m. Guests and members introduced themselves to the group.

Announcements:

• A reminder to read the proposed by-laws published in the HAT CHAT and on the website, which will be voted on at next months meeting.
• The next family Riding/Schooling Day is scheduled for August 16^th 6p.m. at the TQHA arena with Gerry Snipes. Mick Clark plans to attend and assist Gerry.

Minutes from the previous meeting were approved as presented in the HAT CHAT. The treasurer’s report was approved as presented by Roger Dougan in absence of Jenni Dougan.

Old Business:

• September 8^th Show – Still moving forward with Show Co-Manager Rissa Collins
• Membership Trail Ride – Sept. 30^th – a possible location discussed is the Wood Guest Ranch in Oklahoma
• October 20^th Futurity – The search for a judge continues.

New Business:

The rest of the meeting was spent enjoying ice cream and berries while chatting about our horses.

The meeting was adjourned and HAT Chats were passed out for distribution to the surrounding communities.
