Meeting Minutes
by Donna Franus
President
Sandra Shiver called the October 4th meeting order at 7:06 p.m.
Guests and members introduced themselves to the group.
Program:
Members
of the Choctaw Nation Horseman’s Association (CNHA) attended the meeting to
discuss a proposal for teaming up with HAT to hold an open horse show at
Choctaw Arena in Durant on November 17th. Much discussion involved
the shared goals of both groups and how this initial event could lead into an
ongoing series next year. Some details were worked out, such as the classes to
be offered, co-branding, and general approaches to promoting the event. It was
agreed for HAT to hold an internal meeting, as well as another meeting with
CNHA to work through additional details.
