November 2007 Meeting Minutes

President
Sandra Shiver called the November 1st meeting order at 7:05p.m.
Guests and members introduced themselves to the group.
Program:
Due to the amount that needed
to be discussed at this meeting, the presentation by Joanne Crockett will occur
at a later date.
Announcements:

Gerry Snipes is
recovering and doing well after her hospital stay.

Basis Horse
Management 101 has been cancelled
·
HAT Trail Course
Obstacle Spruce Up - Sunday Nov. 11th at Lucky G Ranch

HAT/CNHA Open
Show Saturday Nov. 17th

Both Gerry Snipes
and Sally Thomason have lost horses in the past month. Our hearts go out to
them, as we all know how hard this is.

A huge thank-you
to everyone who helped out at the October show!
Minutes from the previous
meeting were approved as read by Donna Franus. The Treasurers report was
approved as presented by Sandra Shiver.
Old Business:
·
HAT/CNHA Open
Horse Show November 17th Advertising done by HAT was discussed. A
vote was accepted to run an ad in the Shopper for the next two weeks
advertising the Open show. All volunteers were asked to wear white collared
shirts at the show.

October Fall
Futurity October 29th the turnout for this show was not great,
but a fun time was had by all.
·
HAT Membership
Trail Ride Sunday, Oct 7th Mike Scully renamed this to A Ride
in the Park. Everyone who came out had a great time, and would like to do it
again soon.
·
Family
Riding/Schooling Day a decision was made to make this a trail ride at the
Choteaus ranch in
·
Freeze branding
clinic has been tabled for discussion until early spring
New Business:
Annual Elections the following
officers were elected for 2008: President Sandra Shiver; 1st Vice
President Robin Chouteau; 2nd Vice President Kathy Bagnell;
Secretary Michele Beard; Treasurer Michele Beard. Mike Bernier was
also elected to fill the open position on the Board of Directors.
The meeting was adjourned and
HAT Chats were passed out for
distribution to surrounding communities.
